Transition Plus is a program to prepare young adults with special needs to achieve maximum independence and successful employment as they prepare to transition into their adult life.
Education and training courses occur in a variety of community-based settings under the direction of licensed educational staff.
As a result of these experiences, students can meet their IEP goals; therefore, completing their school requirements for a diploma.
Note: Days and hours that a student will be at Transition Plus will vary depending on what component of the program they are participating in. Students are expected to contribute at least 30 hours per week toward their transition goals. This could be at a variety of settings, along with their Transition Plus Seminar(s):
